Software and Consulting If you have a research project and are looking to get a survey on-line, I can help! (Contact me with this online feedback form.) I have been running online surveys since 1997 and have had several million surveys completed in this time. I've presented a talk at the APA 2001 conference with Dr. Sam Gosling on collecting data on the Internet. In terms of traffic, my main site gets over 10,000 visitors in any given week. Newly added sites typically start receiving a few hundred responses weekly and grow from there as word spreads. My site is also multi-lingual capabale, useful for researchers interested in cross-cultural studies. There are several points to consider when deciding if a project will work online: Does your survey provide interesting feedback that visitors will enjoy? Is the survey machine-scoreable? Is it short enough that users will answer the questions? The study will also need to pass your ethics board's review process, and you'll need permission from copyright holders if you have any protected content, such as photographs or reproductions of music/artwork. Generally the most important point is the survey's feedback: Visitors will not usually fill out a survey without good feedback, and an on-line survey lives off of word-of-mouth. I do charge a monthly software license & data access fee to cover the software license, my equipment, connectivity, and other costs. Please contact me to find out more! (I use a web form because I have found that listing email addresses on web pages is a guaranteed way to get spam.) |
